Usually a nice visit however today in the 'dog-friendly' section of the restaurant we were told that the manager wanted our dog to be quiet. When we pointed out that he is a puppy and still in training and that in fact it was a different dog at a different table that was continuously barking we got a shrug and the staff member just walked away with no apology and nothing said to the appropriate party who themselves couldn't believe we got the complaint. Very angry and disappointed and likely won't be back as we are unable to leave our dog at home due to him having separation anxiety. Don't say you're dog friendly and then complain about the dogs, they bark and are naturally inquisitive animals. And if the manager had a problem we would've appreciated them to politely speak to us directly rather than sending one of the three very miserable and unfriendly looking members of staff in the dog area over.

We took our kids here to see Father Christmas. They have a brilliant little set up with a magical forest, toy shop and elves. The kids loved it

An exceptionally enjoyable visit as always. Phenomenal at Christmas with beautiful decorations and a real festive feel. The food and drinks in the restaurant are delicious and such great value for money. The staff are top notch and work extremely hard and are always friendly, polite and attentive. Love coming here.

For the 3rd year running, I visited Old Barn on Wednesday with a group of friends, for our Christmas get-together. The table was beautifully laid & very festive, the staff were very attentive & service excellent and the food was excellent – both the turkey roast and the vegetarian option of mushroom wellington – delicious! Definitely recommend😊

Having looked around for a masterbuilt 800 these guys had a good price in their sale but were out of stock. Despite that they ordered one in specially for me at the same price. Called me when it arrived a few days later and were exceptionally helpful in assisting me getting it onto the car. As it turned out it had a US plug rather than a UK one but again no problem they had a replacement plug sent to me a few days later. Great service and highly recommended.

Definitely a unique selection of Christmas decorations that you don't see somewhere else! Very refreshing and not a main stream. Clean, neat and the cafe offers a wide range of hot food and cakes.

A well stocked nursery for gifts and for plants/outdoor buildings/hot tubs etc. there is a massive tearooms area too

Took my 4 year old niece and her friend to look at the Christmas displays. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I was impressed with the restaurant, although there was a bit of a wait in line when we got to the front and the girls chose their cakes, I said I would need a pre wrapped as I'm gluten free (I have coeliac disease). To my absolute surprise the server said they had fresh 'proper' cakes which were stored with lids and completely separate tongs. I was SO excited as I'm so used to either going without or having a prepacked offering. The cake was so lovely. The girls had a lovely time playing in the outdoor park area which is pirate themed. Its a shame its outdoor as it was raining on and off during the day and all the equipment was wet. We spent 2.5 hours there and the girls didn't get bored! The Christmas lights and decorations were so pretty and the trains, dancing/singing Christmas tree and zip wire snowman kept them entertained.

First time here, driven passed a fair few times and always said we need to visit, really good size garden centre, cute little play area for the kids, really nice café /restaurant, don't think the prices were too bad, the food was really nice though and plenty of space even on a Saturday lunchtime.

Review mostly for cafe/resturant. Food is lovely - good price. Staff really helpful & attentive. Cake was a little dry - seemed to have been out on the side a while… However I would definitely return.
